A Prayer for Peace in Turmoil
Share
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You feeling overwhelmed and stressed. I know that I need Your help to get better and to feel centered. Please calm my anxious heart and mind with Your perfect peace. Remind me of Your sovereignty and love, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to trust in Your goodness and rest in Your presence.
Suggested scriptures:
1. Philippians 4:6-7 (Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.)
2. Isaiah 26:3-4 (You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.)
3. John 14:27 (Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.)
4. Psalm 23:4 (Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me.)
5. Colossians 3:15 (Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.)
