A Prayer of Gratitude and Praise

A Prayer of Gratitude and Praise

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You with a heart full of gratitude and praise. I thank You for the gift of life, for the breath that I breathe, and for the opportunity to live another day. I thank You for Your love, Your mercy, and Your grace that You have poured out upon me. I thank You for the blessings in my life, big and small, seen and unseen. I thank You for the people who bring joy and love into my life, for the roof over my head, and for the food on my table.

I thank You for the trials and challenges that have shaped me and made me stronger. I thank You for the lessons learned, the wisdom gained, and the character built. I thank You for the hope that You give me, the peace that You bring, and the joy that You fill me with.

I pray that my heart would be filled with gratitude and praise, not just for the good times, but for all times. I pray that I would see Your hand at work in every circumstance, and that I would trust in Your sovereignty and goodness. I pray that my gratitude would overflow into worship, into service, and into love for others.

Read these scriptures:
1. Psalm 100:4-5 (Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and bless his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.)
2. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.)
3. Philippians 4:6-7 (Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.)
4. Colossians 3:15 (Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.)
5. Hebrews 12:28-29 (Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.)
