A Prayer of Gratitude and Thanksgiving
Share
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne with hearts overflowing with gratitude and praise. You are the source of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17), and we acknowledge that all the blessings we enjoy are a testament to Your boundless love and grace.
We give thanks for the breath in our lungs, the food on our tables, and the roofs over our heads. We are grateful for the beauty of Your creation, which surrounds us and displays Your majesty. Above all, we give thanks for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ, who has redeemed us and granted us eternal life.
Lord, we praise You for Your faithfulness, which endures forever (Psalm 100:5). Even in seasons of trials and hardships, You have been our rock and our refuge, sustaining us with Your unfailing strength. Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), and Your steadfast love never ceases.
May our lives be a living sacrifice of thanksgiving, honoring You in all that we do (Romans 12:1). Teach us to cultivate hearts of gratitude, focusing on Your goodness rather than dwelling on our circumstances.
Scriptures to read: Psalm 95:1-7, Psalm 100, Ephesians 5:20, Philippians 4:6-7, Colossians 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
