A Prayer to Be Set Free from Fear
Share
Lord,
You are my refuge,
My hiding place,
My strength when I feel weak.
Fear has crept into my heart—
Sometimes loud, sometimes quiet—
But always stealing my peace,
Always whispering lies.
Today I cry out to You:
Save me from fear.
Rescue me from the shadows that cloud my mind.
Tear down the walls of anxiety,
And speak truth louder than the voice of worry.
You did not give me a spirit of fear,
But of power, love, and a sound mind.
So I claim that promise now.
Let Your perfect love cast out all fear.
When my heart races,
Steady me with Your hand.
When doubt screams,
Remind me of who I am—
Yours.
Known.
Protected.
Held.
Give me courage to face what I cannot control.
Give me wisdom to know when to let go.
Give me peace that passes all understanding—
Peace that fear cannot shake.
I choose faith over fear.
I choose trust over terror.
I choose Your truth over every lie.
Save me, Lord—not just from danger,
But from the fear of it.
Lead me out of darkness and into Your marvelous light.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
