Faith in the Dark
Share
Heavenly Father, we come to You in honesty, confessing our doubts and lack of belief. We feel lost and uncertain, struggling to see Your hand at work in our lives. We are like the father who cried out to You, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" (Mark 9:24).
In these dark moments, we need Your reassurance, Your comfort, and Your guidance. Help us to remember that faith is not the absence of doubt, but the presence of trust in Your goodness and love. Remind us that You are the God of the impossible, the One who spoke light into existence and parted the Red Sea.
As we call upon Your name, Father, pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us, that we may know You more deeply and trust You more fully. Give us eyes to see Your glory, ears to hear Your whisper, and hearts to believe Your promises.
In Your presence, we surrender our doubts and fears, and we choose to trust in Your goodness, Your sovereignty, and Your love. May our faith be strengthened, and may we be empowered to walk in the light of Your truth.
Suggested scriptures:
1. Psalm 13:1-6 (How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?)
2. Mark 9:24 (Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!)
3. Hebrews 11:1 (Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen)
4. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (We walk by faith, not by sight)
5. Romans 10:17 (Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God)
6. Luke 17:6 (If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you)
7. Isaiah 40:28-31 (God's sovereignty and faithfulness)
