MINOR SLIGHTS (RUDE PEOPLE)
Share
I had to read two scriptures that came up in the spirit. The quick story is as follows:
I find it often very easy to be tempted to want to pay people back in their own coin. A perfect sort of like example is um I had a minor interaction recently and it didn't necessarily go the way I wanted it was just like a minor interaction with a couple of neighbors. It was an interaction with a woman that has never spoken to me up until now, an interaction with one of my neighbors who is across the hall from the neighbor who passed away. It was just something minor and it was kind of interesting that it still kind of disturbed me and um it was kind of interesting because a lot of the weightier things in my life don't disturb me as much. You know, sort of like one of those falling over a molehill kind of things that that comes up.
What I want to say is that um you know I was sort of reminded that there's that whole thing you know um of falling sort of like seven times seven which is often often misquoted as that one I believe it's actually like seven times seventy. And then I was also reminded of this whole kind of idea of you know like we forgive for ourselves not for them and just some of the basics of living the way for whatever reason like the spirit uh kind of brought up specifically Psalm 67 and then another one that I'll leave for you. When I read Psalm 67 and just in in the concept uh or or or just related to what I was saying is that you know just this whole idea just look at the first line and I'll post it on there that God is merciful unto us and bless us us and causes his face to shine upon us. And that brings me back to one of the number one actions that I was asked to engage in earlier today which is gratitude. So looking at the gratitude of the fact that I can see this to write this, the gratitude that I have gas in my tank and that my car is running, gratitude that I'm somewhat healthy and the gratitude that I'm able to walk, I'm able to see and that I have at least a couple of square meals.
Y’all make it a great day.
PSALM
67 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
