Prayer for Marriage complications

Lord who joined the first man and woman in a garden (Genesis 2:24) and walked with them in the cool of the day — walk with us tonight, in this house we are still learning to live in. Make ours the threefold cord that is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12), the love that bears, believes, hopes, and endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:7). Forgive the sharp word and the silent grudge. Teach us to wash one another's feet (John 13:14) in a thousand small unrecorded acts. Until faith becomes sight, let our marriage rehearse the love of Christ for his bride (Ephesians 5:25–32). Amen.
