Sing a New Song: A Prayer Inspired by Psalm 96

Heavenly Father,

We lift our hearts in joyful praise and sing to You a new song. You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and there is no one like You. Teach us to declare Your glory among all people and to proclaim Your wonderful deeds day by day. We ascribe to You all honour and strength, bringing our gifts of worship into Your holy presence. Help us to worship You in the beauty of holiness and to proclaim, “The Lord reigns!” Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad, let the sea roar and the fields be jubilant. May every tree of the forest sing for joy before You, for You come to judge the world with righteousness and truth. Fill us with reverent awe and sincere gratitude, so that our lives shine as testimonies of Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
