The Prayer for Integrity in Growing Wealth
Share
Anchor: Proverbs 10:22 — "The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it."
Holy Father, God of truth and righteousness, before whom all things are naked and open (Hebrews 4:13), I come today to consecrate not just my income but the manner in which I pursue it. For I have seen, and Your Word has confirmed, that wealth pursued through compromise will ultimately consume the one who chased it — that a man who is greedy for unjust gain troubles his own household (Proverbs 15:27), and that the deceitful tongue that flatters its way to riches walks on a road that leads to ruin.
I want none of it, Lord. I want the kind of wealth that Your blessing produces — the kind that adds no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22). I want money that was earned with clean hands and a clear conscience, money that does not keep me awake at night wondering what it cost in hidden ways. I want the wealth of the diligent, not the plunder of the dishonest.
So I ask You today: build within me a spine of integrity that bends to no pressure, yields to no shortcut, and refuses every invitation to compromise the standard of Christ for the sake of profit. Let me be a person who can be trusted with little and therefore trusted with much (Luke 16:10–11). Let my word be my bond in every financial dealing. Let my business practices be so transparently righteous that they become a testimony — a light set on a hill that men cannot ignore (Matthew 5:14–16).
And in return, Father, let Your hand of blessing rest upon the work of my hands. Let the righteous prosper as a demonstration to this generation that it is still possible to build wealth with honor, to rise without bowing to Mammon, and to be wealthy in the ways of this world while remaining rich toward God (Luke 12:21).
In the name of Jesus Christ, my Righteousness and my Reward — Amen. (Jeremiah 23:6)
