The Prayer of Abundance and Stewardship

The Prayer of Abundance and Stewardship

Anchor: Luke 16:10 — "Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much."

Eternal Father, Author and Finisher of all things (Hebrews 12:2), I come to this fifth day of prayer not as one grasping for wealth, but as one seeking to be transformed into a faithful steward worthy of greater trust. For You have declared through Christ that the one who is faithful in the little shall be entrusted with the much (Luke 16:10), and I desire not only larger numbers but a larger capacity — in character, in wisdom, in generosity — to contain and deploy whatever You place in my hands.

Jabez prayed with boldness: "Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my territory!" — and You, O God, granted what he asked (1 Chronicles 4:10). I pray it still. Enlarge my territory. Let the borders of my income expand, not to build empires unto myself, but to fund the work of Your Kingdom in the earth — to give generously to those in need (2 Corinthians 9:9), to support the preaching of the Gospel to the ends of the earth (Matthew 28:19), and to leave a godly inheritance to those who come after me (Proverbs 13:22).

Above all, Lord, let me never mistake the gift for the Giver. Let prosperity, when it comes, draw me deeper into Your presence rather than further from it. Let me always say with Paul: "I have learned, in whatever state I am, to be content" (Philippians 4:11) — and yet press on, in holy ambition, toward the fullness of the life You have prepared for me.

For every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, in whom there is no shadow of turning (James 1:17). I receive my increase with open hands and a grateful heart.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible — be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:17)
