A Bold Prayer for a Better Job
Lord of my path and Provider of my needs,
I stand before You not in shame, but in hunger—for growth, for purpose, for the dignity of work that aligns with who You created me to be. My spirit is restless where I am. You see the long hours, the overlooked effort, the weight I carry behind a quiet smile. I am not ungrateful—You have brought me this far—but I know You have more.
So I ask, not for riches, but for rightness.
Lead me to the role where my gifts can shine without shame, where excellence is honored, and integrity is not a liability. Open doors no man can shut. Close those that waste my strength. Let the interviews come with favor. Let my name rise to the top of the pile not because of who I know, but because You go before me.
Refine me in this waiting—shape my character while You shape my career. Let this be a testimony: that when I cried out, You heard me, and You answered with abundance, dignity, and joy in my labor.
I receive it with open hands, Lord.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
