Has Kanye West ruined his career? (NSFW)

It's no secret that Kanye West has had a tumultuous few years-- at least.
From his highly publicized divorce from Kim Kardashian to his now-infamous statements about slavery, it seems like Mr. West is in the news for all the wrong reasons. From "friends" claiming he admired Hitler to fake outrage about tepid comments about his Jewish partners, he is "going down fast." But the question remains: has all of this negative publicity ruined his career?
On the one hand, it's hard to argue that Mr. West hasn't done serious damage to his public image. In addition to making inflammatory statements, he's also been embroiled in a number of controversies, including an onstage meltdown during a concert and a very public feud with Taylor Swift. It's been at least a decade of controversy.
His recently having been accused of antisemitism-- justified or not-- has led to a series of unfortunate events like Lemony Snickett. As a result of all this recent drama, a number of brands have cut ties with Mr. West, including Adidas. This has lowered his business valuation significantly..
On the other hand, it's worth noting that Mr. West is still one of the most successful musicians in the world. In spite of all the negative publicity he's received, he can come back from this on his own dime. Will he come back in the mainstream? No, he will probably not. What's more, he still has a large and loyal following of fans who are willing to overlook his faults.
Just for clarity, "Defcon 3" means to go off on people or to tell them off. I am only clarifying because people are consistently lying about what was said.
So, has Kanye West ruined his career? It's hard to say for sure. While there's no doubt that he's done a great deal of damage to his public image, he remains a hugely successful musician with a devoted fanbase.
Many people, however, are enjoying seeing him lose money and spiral. Many people feel good about this for some reason. It's pretty disgusting to see.
Only time will tell if Mr. West can bounce back from all the controversy and reclaim his place at the top of the music world.
Hopefully as Mr. West makes his next moves, he will choose to give up all substances and get sober. He can hit rock bottom right now. Waiting too long may not be a good option.
Let's exit with a quote from Mr. West:
"I LOST 2 BILLION DOLLARS IN ONE DAY AND I'M STILL ALIVE," Ye wrote. "THIS IS LOVE SPEECH. I STILL LOVE YOU. GOD STILL LOVES YOU. THE MONEY IS NOT WHO I AM. THE PEOPLE IS WHO I AM."
