New Year, new hope

In the new year that lies before us, filled with hope and promise,
We stand, dear Lord, with open arms, with grateful hearts,
We ask You to work through us, in ways that touch the hearts
Of those in need, with love and kindness, with the power to save,
The lost, the broken, the weary, the ones without a grave,
Grant us, dear Lord, the courage, the strength to stand,
To be the hands and feet of Christ, to be a light in every land,
To be Your ambassadors, Your messengers, Your voice that speaks,
To those in need, who are lost in the darkness, who are stuck in the deceit,
In the book of Luke, we find our guide,
In the book of Revelation, we find our pride,
In the book of Isaiah, we find our peace,
In the book of Mark, we find our release.
